Rio De Janeiro Brazil – Top model Ana Beatriz Barros opens the Blue Man show which is full of patterned and ultra sexy show stopping bikinis and bathing suits. Ana Beatriz Barros interviews backstage and says that Blue Man bikinis are one of the best bikinis in Brazil. The swimwear is made of various colorful motifs that include everything from neon to rain forest to denim to snake skin to graphic prints. A Blue Man designer goes through the collection, pointing out the very best including a parrot themed one piece that catches the eye. “We are a Brazilian brand and we love to talk about Brazil,” says the designer. “This is the DNA.” This is Rio Fashion Week for ZARZAR MODELS fans to enjoy!

DSquared2 Spring Summer 2011 Fashion Runway Show In Milan And Model Interviews

Go backstage with designers Dean & Dan Caten at their DSquared2 Spring Summer 2011 collection in Milan. As they explained backstage “it’s boy meets girl”. There’s masculine things, feminine things and their new DSquared2 Eyewear collection is the statement.

Makeup artist Gordon Espinet used one of their favorite beauty products on the models – Mac Cosmetics Mineralized Skinfinish Natural giving them that perfect summer glow. This girl is glammed down, but she’s still sexy.

Design and fashion shows

Dean and Dan Caten (born Dean and Dan Catenacci) are identical twin brother fashion designers and the creators of DSquared2, a high-end fashion label.

The brothers are known for designing clothes and staging elaborate fashion shows with “explosive energy”. They design men’s and women’s apparel, men’s and women’s footware, fragrances, and cosmetics. A runway show in 2005 featured Christina Aguilera with male models. In September 2007, the DSquared2 fashion show in Milan featured Rihanna entering the stage in an American muscle car, followed by a runway walk.

Their designs have been worn by Britney Spears, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, and Nicolas Cage. In 2000-2001, Madonna commissioned them to design over 150 pieces for her Drowned World Tour 2001 and “Don’t Tell Me” music video. DSquared2’s design was also featured in Britney Spear’s Circus tour. They have been featured on America’s Next Top Model and appeared in the music video for Fergie’s “Clumsy” and The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”.

The intelligent mix of irreverent Canadian wit and refined Italian tailoring, together with attention to detail are the foundation of today’s Dsquared2 philosophy, which has given life to a unique concept of alternative luxury. ZARZAR MODELS takes you backstage as the models get their hair and makeup done by the experts in the fashion industry. First, we focus on hair and how to make hair more beautiful. Sleek and tight ponytails were the trend at Aquilano Rimondi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Elie Saab, and Prada. Models like Ruby Aldridge and Siri Tolorod talked about the looks done by top hair stylists like Guido Palau, Orlando Pita, and Sam McKnight. Braids, both tight and loose, were the “IT” look for hair at Emilio Pucci and Viktor & Rolf on models like Alana Zimmer and Anna Selzneva. Luigi Murenu talked about how he created the undone braid at Viktor & Rolf. Straight hair was the look at Versace and Blumarine and Marni kept it natural thanks to hair stylist Paul Hanlon.

Next, for makeup, fresh and young took precedence at Prada thanks to Pat McGrath, who also did the luxurious, but minimal makeup for Versace. Light pinks all over were prominent at No 21 and fresh creams on models like Candice Swanepoel at Elie Saab. Giambattista Valli’s makeup by Val Garland was tomboyish with a contour and Balmain showcased Tom Pecheaux’s stellar cosmetic looks including everything from thick mascara to lots of concealer on models like Carmen Kass and Constance Jablonski who make it look easy. Fendi and Dsquared2 go dramatic on the eyes, while Rick Owens focuses on the poppy lip.

This very interesting video features dozens of models including Ruby Aldridge, Siri Tolorod, Alana Zimmer, Anna Selezneva, Daphne Groeneveld, Candice Swanepoel, Carmen Kass, Constance Jablonski, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Karmen Pedaru, Nimue Smit, and Karlie Kloss.

Hair stylists featured were Guido Palau, Orlando Pita, Sam McKnight, and Luigii Murenu.

Haute couture (French for “high sewing” or “high dressmaking”) refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time consuming, hand executed techniques. Couture is a common abbreviation of haute couture and refers to the same thing in spirit.

In modern France, haute couture is a “protected name” that can be used only by firms that meet certain well defined standards. However, the term is also used loosely to describe all high fashion custom fitted clothing, whether it is produced in Paris or in other fashion capitals such as Milan, London, New York, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo.

Many top designer fashion houses, such as Chanel, use the word “Haute Couture” for some of their special collections. These collections are often not for sale or they are very difficult to purchase.

Supermodel Izabel Goulart For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Magazine – Brazilian Beauty Explains How She Became A Model

Maria Izabel Goulart Dourado, better known as Izabel Goulart, is a Brazilian supermodel. She is best known as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels and for her work with Armani Exchange.

Izabel Goulart was born in Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is of Italian descent and has several brothers and one sister. Izabel Goulart once said “the hardest part about being an Angel is I spend time away from my mom’s food and away from my home with my brothers and sister.” According to sources, school was a particularly rough time for Izabel Goulart, as she was made fun of for her skinny build. Little did they realize that she would eventually become a Victoria’s Secret supermodel earning millions of United States dollars.

The moment that changed her life came while shopping for groceries with her mother at the age of 14 when a hairstylist suggested that she should become a model. She soon moved to the state’s capital Sao Paulo and started modeling. The rest is history.

Modeling Career

During one of Izabel Goulart’s first ever fashion show appearances, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction when her top fell open. The unfortunate incident made many Brazilian newspapers and remains her most embarrassing moment. She was able to put her rocky start behind her and returned to the runway to model collections for A-list designers such as Bill Blass, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Chanel, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Stella McCartney, among many others. Izabel Goulart has also modeled for H&M, Express, and Neiman Marcus.

Izabel Goulart first appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2005, the year she was contracted as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Izabel Goulart also walked in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Runway Shows. She has shot for top photographers such as Terry Richardson, David Sims, Greg Kadel, and Vincent Peters for such publications as French and Japanese Vogue, French magazine, and Numero. Izabel Goulart was also seen in the fall 2009 H&M campaign. In 2011, Izabel Goulart appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Izabel Goulart, whose brother has type 1 diabetes, does charitable work helping hospitals in her native Brazil to raise money to provide free insulin for diabetic children in need. She also has taken an active role with the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Miami, a recognized leader in cure-focused research.

Finally, Izabel Goulart appeared in an episode of Two And A Half Men and has also made a guest appearance in the thirteenth episode of season 3 of Entourage alongside fellow Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Michael Kors Fall Winter Fashion Runway Show Backstage For New York Fashion Week

Go backstage at Michael Kors Fall 2010 with makeup artist Dick Page and hair stylist Orlando Pita. The look is inspired by one of Michael’s favorite photos taken by American photographer Arthur Elgort for American Vogue in the 70’s. It’s fresh, young and aspirational. Michael Kors is an American fashion designer. He is best known for designing classic American sportswear for women. Michael Kors began his career in fashion at the age of 19, designing and merchandising a collection for the renowned boutique Lothar’s in New York city. The success of these clothes caught the attention of the fashion press, prompting Michael Kors to strike out on his own. In 1981 The Michael Kors label was formed. Since his collection was established, it has never strayed from Kors’ intial vision of chic, luxurious American sportswear.

Michael Kors began designing clothes at the age of 19 and studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In 1981, Michael Kors launched the Michael Kors womens wear line at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Building on his success, Kors was named the first ever women’s ready-to-wear designer and creative director for the French fashion house Celine in 1997. In his tenure at Celine, Michael Kors turned the fashion house around with blockbuster accessories and a critically acclaimed ready-to-wear line. In 2001, Michael Kors launched accessories under his collection LABEL. Today, the line includes a full range of women’s handbags, shoes, belts, and eyewear. Michael Kors left Celine in October 2003 to concentrate on his own brand. Michael Kors launched his mens wear line in 2002.

In addition to the Michael Kors runway collection, the MICHAEL Michael Kors and KORS Michael Kors lines were launched in 2004. KORS is considered the mid-tier line, between the runway and MICHAEL collections. The MICHAEL line includes women’s handbags and shoes as well as women’s ready-to-wear apparel. The KORS line contains footwear and Jeans. Currently, Kors has full collection boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, Palm Beach, Chicago, London, and Milan.

Among the celebrities who have worn Michael Kors’ designs are Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, supermodel Heidi Klum and Catherine Zeta-Jones. As Creative Director of Celine, Michael Kors designed many outfits for actresses to wear on screen. Gwyneth Paltrow wore Kors’ designs in the movie Possession. In addition, Michael Kors outfitted Rene Russo’s character in the 1999 hit remake of The Thomas Crown Affair. The advertising campaigns for Michael Kors often reflects the jet-set sportswear that Kors fans are fond of and enjoy. Previous campaigns include model Carmen Kass on the tarmac of an airport, on a safari in Africa, and relaxing on a multi-million dollar yacht for the super rich.

Michael Kors has also been a judge on the Emmy-nominated reality television program Project Runway.
